Social responsibility is an ethical framework that suggests an organization or individual, has an obligation to act for the benefit of society at large. It is a duty that every individual need to consider maintaining a balance between the economy and the ecosystems. The social responsibility norm explains helping behavior in some form or other. Helping behavior refers to voluntary actions intended to help the others, so that others are benefited. Helping others in psychological health is about active listening, empathic understanding, and offer counselling to building psychological maturity, immunity and resilience.

This societal responsibility has influenced Dr. Saras Bhaskar to join hands with AGARAM foundation to offer individual, group counselling to approximately 680 students studying in colleges in Chennai Tamil Nadu. The project is called "Root to Fruit" herein referred to as R2F. Orientation of this program was launched on 25th March, 2018. There are ten counsellors who have joined this "Thaanaa Serndha Kootam". They are eager, enthusiastic and excited to be a part of this project. They are happy to give their time and best of their efforts to extend counselling services to the students who are in need.
